💡 Qur'an meaning: word by word · Step 1 of 40
Understanding what you recite
Knowing the meaning of the surahs we pray with makes our prayer come alive.
Reflect on the Qur'an
Allah says He sent down this blessed Book so that people reflect on its ayahs and those with understanding take heed.
How this course works
Each surah page shows every word of the surah with its meaning underneath, in English or Urdu, ayah by ayah. Tap ▶ to hear the ayah, then read along word by word.
- Start with Al-Faatiḥah: you say it at least 17 times a day.
- Then go through Juz 'Amma from An-Naas backwards, the same order as the Hifz course.
- Learn a few words a day. Many words come again and again, so it gets faster.

Show the answer
Al-Faatiḥah, because we recite it in every rak'ah of every prayer.
