A night better than a thousand months, in the last ten nights of Ramadan.
Surah Al-Qadr
Allah sent the Qur'an down on this night. It is better than a thousand months, and the angels come down in it with peace until dawn.
“Seek Laylat al-Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten nights of Ramadan.”
How to spend these nights
- Pray at night, even two short rak'ahs.
- Read Qur'an and make dua: the Prophet ﷺ taught Aisha a special dua for this night (in the Ramadan duas module).
- Give some charity each night, so you do not miss it on the night itself.
