- يَٰٓأَيُّهَا yāayyuhā O
- ٱلۡكَٰفِرُونَ l-kāfirūna disbelievers
109:2

- أَعۡبُدُ aʿbudu I worship
- مَا mā what
- تَعۡبُدُونَ taʿbudūna you worship
109:3

- وَلَآ walā And not
- أَنتُمۡ antum you
- عَٰبِدُونَ ʿābidūna (are) worshippers
- مَآ mā (of) what
- أَعۡبُدُ aʿbudu I worship
109:4

- أَنَا۠ anā I am
- عَابِدࣱ ʿābidun a worshipper

- عَبَدتُّمۡ ʿabadttum you worship

- وَلِيَ waliya and for me
