83:1 ⚑
  1. وَيۡلࣱ waylun Woe
  2. لِّلۡمُطَفِّفِينَ lil'muṭaffifīna to those who give less
83:2 ⚑
  1. ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna Those who
  2. إِذَا idhā when
  3. ٱكۡتَالُواْ ik'tālū they take a measure
  4. عَلَى ʿalā from
  5. ٱلنَّاسِ l-nāsi the people
  6. يَسۡتَوۡفُونَ yastawfūna they take in full
83:3 ⚑
  1. وَإِذَا wa-idhā But when
  2. كَالُوهُمۡ kālūhum they give by measure (to) them
  3. أَو aw or
  4. وَّزَنُوهُمۡ wazanūhum they weigh (for) them
  5. يُخۡسِرُونَ yukh'sirūna they give less
83:4 ⚑
  1. أَلَا alā Do not
  2. يَظُنُّ yaẓunnu think
  3. أُوْلَٰٓئِكَ ulāika those
  4. أَنَّهُم annahum that they
  5. مَّبۡعُوثُونَ mabʿūthūna (will be) resurrected
83:5 ⚑
  1. لِيَوۡمٍ liyawmin For a Day
  2. عَظِيمࣲ ʿaẓīmin Great
83:6 ⚑
  1. يَوۡمَ yawma (The) Day
  2. يَقُومُ yaqūmu will stand
  3. ٱلنَّاسُ l-nāsu mankind
  4. لِرَبِّ lirabbi before (the) Lord
  5. ٱلۡعَٰلَمِينَ l-ʿālamīna (of) the worlds
83:7 ⚑
  1. كَلَّآ kallā Nay
  2. إِنَّ inna Indeed
  3. كِتَٰبَ kitāba (the) record
  4. ٱلۡفُجَّارِ l-fujāri (of) the wicked
  5. لَفِي lafī (is) surely in
  6. سِجِّينࣲ sijjīnin Sijjin
83:8 ⚑
  1. وَمَآ wamā And what
  2. أَدۡرَىٰكَ adrāka can make you know
  3. مَا mā what
  4. سِجِّينࣱ sijjīnun (is) Sijjin
83:9 ⚑
  1. كِتَٰبࣱ kitābun A book
  2. مَّرۡقُومࣱ marqūmun written
83:10 ⚑
  1. وَيۡلࣱ waylun Woe
  2. يَوۡمَئِذࣲ yawma-idhin that Day
  3. لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ lil'mukadhibīna to the deniers
83:11 ⚑
  1. ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna Those who
  2. يُكَذِّبُونَ yukadhibūna deny
  3. بِيَوۡمِ biyawmi (the) Day
  4. ٱلدِّينِ l-dīni (of) the Judgment
83:12 ⚑
  1. وَمَا wamā And not
  2. يُكَذِّبُ yukadhibu can deny
  3. بِهِۦٓ bihi [of] it
  4. إِلَّا illā except
  5. كُلُّ kullu every
  6. مُعۡتَدٍ muʿ'tadin transgressor
  7. أَثِيمٍ athīmin sinful
83:13 ⚑
  1. إِذَا idhā When
  2. تُتۡلَىٰ tut'lā are recited
  3. عَلَيۡهِ ʿalayhi to him
  4. ءَايَٰتُنَا āyātunā Our Verses
  5. قَالَ qāla he says
  6. أَسَٰطِيرُ asāṭīru Stories
  7. ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ l-awalīna (of) the former (people)
83:14 ⚑
  1. كَلَّاۖ kallā Nay
  2. بَلۡۜ bal But
  3. رَانَ rāna (the) stain has covered
  4. عَلَىٰ ʿalā [over]
  5. قُلُوبِهِم qulūbihim their hearts
  6. مَّا mā (for) what
  7. كَانُواْ kānū they used to
  8. يَكۡسِبُونَ yaksibūna earn
83:15 ⚑
  1. كَلَّآ kallā Nay
  2. إِنَّهُمۡ innahum Indeed, they
  3. عَن ʿan from
  4. رَّبِّهِمۡ rabbihim their Lord
  5. يَوۡمَئِذࣲ yawma-idhin that Day
  6. لَّمَحۡجُوبُونَ lamaḥjūbūna surely will be partitioned
83:16 ⚑
  1. ثُمَّ thumma Then
  2. إِنَّهُمۡ innahum indeed, they
  3. لَصَالُواْ laṣālū (surely) will burn
  4. ٱلۡجَحِيمِ l-jaḥīmi (in) the Hellfire
83:17 ⚑
  1. ثُمَّ thumma Then
  2. يُقَالُ yuqālu it will be said
  3. هَٰذَا hādhā This
  4. ٱلَّذِي alladhī (is) what
  5. كُنتُم kuntum you used to
  6. بِهِۦ bihi [of it]
  7. تُكَذِّبُونَ tukadhibūna deny
83:18 ⚑
  1. كَلَّآ kallā Nay
  2. إِنَّ inna Indeed
  3. كِتَٰبَ kitāba (the) record
  4. ٱلۡأَبۡرَارِ l-abrāri (of) the righteous
  5. لَفِي lafī (will be) surely in
  6. عِلِّيِّينَ ʿilliyyīna Illiyin
83:19 ⚑
  1. وَمَآ wamā And what
  2. أَدۡرَىٰكَ adrāka can make you know
  3. مَا mā what
  4. عِلِّيُّونَ ʿilliyyūna (is) Illiyun
83:20 ⚑
  1. كِتَٰبࣱ kitābun A book
  2. مَّرۡقُومࣱ marqūmun written
83:21 ⚑
  1. يَشۡهَدُهُ yashhaduhu Witness it
  2. ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ l-muqarabūna those brought near
83:22 ⚑
  1. إِنَّ inna Indeed
  2. ٱلۡأَبۡرَارَ l-abrāra the righteous
  3. لَفِي lafī (will be) surely in
  4. نَعِيمٍ naʿīmin bliss
83:23 ⚑
  1. عَلَى ʿalā On
  2. ٱلۡأَرَآئِكِ l-arāiki thrones
  3. يَنظُرُونَ yanẓurūna observing
83:24 ⚑
  1. تَعۡرِفُ taʿrifu You will recognize
  2. فِي fī in
  3. وُجُوهِهِمۡ wujūhihim their faces
  4. نَضۡرَةَ naḍrata (the) radiance
  5. ٱلنَّعِيمِ l-naʿīmi (of) bliss
83:25 ⚑
  1. يُسۡقَوۡنَ yus'qawna They will be given to drink
  2. مِن min of
  3. رَّحِيقࣲ raḥīqin a pure wine
  4. مَّخۡتُومٍ makhtūmin sealed
83:26 ⚑
  1. خِتَٰمُهُۥ khitāmuhu Its seal
  2. مِسۡكࣱۚ mis'kun (will be of) musk
  3. وَفِي wafī And for
  4. ذَٰلِكَ dhālika that
  5. فَلۡيَتَنَافَسِ falyatanāfasi let aspire
  6. ٱلۡمُتَنَٰفِسُونَ l-mutanāfisūna the aspirers
83:27 ⚑
  1. وَمِزَاجُهُۥ wamizājuhu And its mixture
  2. مِن min (is) of
  3. تَسۡنِيمٍ tasnīmin Tasneem
83:28 ⚑
  1. عَيۡنࣰا ʿaynan A spring
  2. يَشۡرَبُ yashrabu will drink
  3. بِهَا bihā from it
  4. ٱلۡمُقَرَّبُونَ l-muqarabūna those brought near
83:29 ⚑
  1. إِنَّ inna Indeed
  2. ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna those who
  3. أَجۡرَمُواْ ajramū committed crimes
  4. كَانُواْ kānū used to
  5. مِنَ mina at
  6. ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna those who
  7. ءَامَنُواْ āmanū believed
  8. يَضۡحَكُونَ yaḍḥakūna laugh
83:30 ⚑
  1. وَإِذَا wa-idhā And when
  2. مَرُّواْ marrū they passed
  3. بِهِمۡ bihim by them
  4. يَتَغَامَزُونَ yataghāmazūna they winked at one another
83:31 ⚑
  1. وَإِذَا wa-idhā And when
  2. ٱنقَلَبُوٓاْ inqalabū they returned
  3. إِلَىٰٓ ilā to
  4. أَهۡلِهِمُ ahlihimu their people
  5. ٱنقَلَبُواْ inqalabū they would return
  6. فَكِهِينَ fakihīna jesting
83:32 ⚑
  1. وَإِذَا wa-idhā And when
  2. رَأَوۡهُمۡ ra-awhum they saw them
  3. قَالُوٓاْ qālū they said
  4. إِنَّ inna Indeed
  5. هَٰٓؤُلَآءِ hāulāi these
  6. لَضَآلُّونَ laḍāllūna surely have gone astray
83:33 ⚑
  1. وَمَآ wamā But not
  2. أُرۡسِلُواْ ur'silū they had been sent
  3. عَلَيۡهِمۡ ʿalayhim over them
  4. حَٰفِظِينَ ḥāfiẓīna (as) guardians
83:34 ⚑
  1. فَٱلۡيَوۡمَ fal-yawma So today
  2. ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna those who
  3. ءَامَنُواْ āmanū believed
  4. مِنَ mina at
  5. ٱلۡكُفَّارِ l-kufāri the disbelievers
  6. يَضۡحَكُونَ yaḍḥakūna they will laugh
83:35 ⚑
  1. عَلَى ʿalā On
  2. ٱلۡأَرَآئِكِ l-arāiki the thrones
  3. يَنظُرُونَ yanẓurūna observing
83:36 ⚑
  1. هَلۡ hal Have (not)
  2. ثُوِّبَ thuwwiba been rewarded
  3. ٱلۡكُفَّارُ l-kufāru the disbelievers
  4. مَا mā (for) what
  5. كَانُواْ kānū they used to
  6. يَفۡعَلُونَ yafʿalūna do
