86:1 ⚑
  1. وَٱلسَّمَآءِ wal-samāi By the sky
  2. وَٱلطَّارِقِ wal-ṭāriqi and the night comer
86:2 ⚑
  1. وَمَآ wamā And what
  2. أَدۡرَىٰكَ adrāka can make you know
  3. مَا mā what
  4. ٱلطَّارِقُ l-ṭāriqu the night comer (is)
86:3 ⚑
  1. ٱلنَّجۡمُ al-najmu (It is) the star
  2. ٱلثَّاقِبُ l-thāqibu the piercing
86:4 ⚑
  1. إِن in Not
  2. كُلُّ kullu (is) every
  3. نَفۡسࣲ nafsin soul
  4. لَّمَّا lammā but
  5. عَلَيۡهَا ʿalayhā over it
  6. حَافِظࣱ ḥāfiẓun (is) a protector
86:5 ⚑
  1. فَلۡيَنظُرِ falyanẓuri So let see
  2. ٱلۡإِنسَٰنُ l-insānu man
  3. مِمَّ mimma from what
  4. خُلِقَ khuliqa he is created
86:6 ⚑
  1. خُلِقَ khuliqa He is created
  2. مِن min from
  3. مَّآءࣲ māin a water
  4. دَافِقࣲ dāfiqin ejected
86:7 ⚑
  1. يَخۡرُجُ yakhruju Coming forth
  2. مِنۢ min from
  3. بَيۡنِ bayni between
  4. ٱلصُّلۡبِ l-ṣul'bi the backbone
  5. وَٱلتَّرَآئِبِ wal-tarāibi and the ribs
86:8 ⚑
  1. إِنَّهُۥ innahu Indeed, He
  2. عَلَىٰ ʿalā to
  3. رَجۡعِهِۦ rajʿihi return him
  4. لَقَادِرࣱ laqādirun (is) Able
86:9 ⚑
  1. يَوۡمَ yawma (The) Day
  2. تُبۡلَى tub'lā will be tested
  3. ٱلسَّرَآئِرُ l-sarāiru the secrets
86:10 ⚑
  1. فَمَا famā Then not
  2. لَهُۥ lahu (is) for him
  3. مِن min any
  4. قُوَّةࣲ quwwatin power
  5. وَلَا walā and not
  6. نَاصِرࣲ nāṣirin any helper
86:11 ⚑
  1. وَٱلسَّمَآءِ wal-samāi By the sky
  2. ذَاتِ dhāti which
  3. ٱلرَّجۡعِ l-rajʿi returns
86:12 ⚑
  1. وَٱلۡأَرۡضِ wal-arḍi And the earth
  2. ذَاتِ dhāti which
  3. ٱلصَّدۡعِ l-ṣadʿi cracks open
86:13 ⚑
  1. إِنَّهُۥ innahu Indeed, it
  2. لَقَوۡلࣱ laqawlun (is) surely a Word
  3. فَصۡلࣱ faṣlun decisive
86:14 ⚑
  1. وَمَا wamā And not
  2. هُوَ huwa it
  3. بِٱلۡهَزۡلِ bil-hazli (is) for amusement
86:15 ⚑
  1. إِنَّهُمۡ innahum Indeed, they
  2. يَكِيدُونَ yakīdūna are plotting
  3. كَيۡدࣰا kaydan a plot
86:16 ⚑
  1. وَأَكِيدُ wa-akīdu But I am planning
  2. كَيۡدࣰا kaydan a plan
86:17 ⚑
  1. فَمَهِّلِ famahhili So give respite
  2. ٱلۡكَٰفِرِينَ l-kāfirīna (to) the disbelievers
  3. أَمۡهِلۡهُمۡ amhil'hum Give respite to them
  4. رُوَيۡدَۢا ruwaydan little
