A hum through the nose

Ghunnah is a humming sound made in the nose. Whenever ن or م has a shaddah, hold the hum for two counts: إِنَّ 'in-n-na', ثُمَّ 'thum-m-ma'.

Try pinching your nose while you say 'nnn': if the sound stops, you are making ghunnah!
